Ochre stained butcher's hands
A knotted web of callus and cicatrix
There is a lonely house
Unrestful on an unsettled foundation
Spring rains burden its lumber
Nails erupt from swelling planks
Emerging iron flowers tear and rend prying hands
Driving winds pelt rain against skin
Erodes resolve, dissolves will
