The end of the day,

A world of eternal night lies beyond,
The sunset of this final day.
For the sun, it grows tired of its place in the sky,

The last of the light of the final day,
The relentless darkness of night lies beyond us,

Inescapable dawnless eternity lies beyond,

Incoming is the perpetual shadow -
Extinguishing all light, concealing all hue,
Bringing forwards an impenetrable darkness,
With the design to consume all things.

Commence eternal night!

And within the remnants of the final sunset
there’s no clue of the finality of the night,
As one by one each is painted in shadow
with a rehearsed yet naive obedience,
And though the cold does not yet have its strength
it envelopes and it chills all the same,
Though frost may not have time to settle nor to sit
before all shall reach its end.

The unfaltering darkness shall not arrive alone,
And not all that’s unseen shall remain unfelt,
There are beings that thrive under a night’s sky,
Apparitions that suffer unrest,
They are sleepless, they are creeping forth as silhouette,
Creatures of the midnight.
