Russian had black Volgas,
Every kid was scared of em',
In GDR they had Trabants,
Against Wartburgs they raced often,
Czechs had beautiful Skodas,
In Romania there were Dacias,
Each Nation had its trends,
Our future was within the Fiat,
Everyone in Poland had a Maluch*,
And everyone took good care of em',
Small, cheap and sound,
Went through half of Europe with us!
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Fiat was born under Gierek**,
A symbol of the working calss,
Though he had a hard time running,
He was tough and didn't wuss out,
He was as close as a friend to us,
To every Pole in a small Fiat,
The whole world saw that and had a laugh,
But he was like a brother to us!
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Will survive next thousand years,
Small fiat,
Small fiat,
Small fiat.
*Maluch - From Polish - "Maluch" meaning "Child" or "Toddler", which was a common name for the Fiat 126p model.
**Gierek - References the Surname of a Polish Communist Polititian, as well as "President" (Party leader) Edward Gierek, who earned great infamy within Poland by putting the country within international debt.
He served as the Head of the Workers Party from 1970 to 1980. The first Polish Fiat 126p was produced two years after the beginning of his cadence.
