Cyperus - Promised Land

We cast away our earthly years, the balance of our days
To walk the path of forbidden return for lack of a better way
Sat amongst the tranquil herbs, the essence wreaths our heads
From nowhere, comes an entity, to praise us for our world we left

Leave them now forever, and you have found the way"

Light of eternal life, at the pool of eternal youth
Appear golden goblets, when raised they flame,
to wine of unknown truth
Drinking down till reeking of wisdom, and soon
We're fading from our mortal cares and feeling very soothed

Conversing with the wise on the structure of it all
The Earth, the stars, the Universe, and the answers seemed
So small

Spirits blow their whispers as they float into abyss
Through the star lit galaxies, formed by their mist
There's no escape in following tools,
we're all born with golden hearts

We escape the hands of time, to leave a body's withered shell
Our souls a blinding blaze, become one with the light
We don our brilliant wings of crystal
then burn the skies with fiery smite

As I touch the sky as mine, silver clouds host my rising
Gleaming, I taste my soul become one with the horizon
Grasp the piercing rays at passions manifest
And trust them through my heart
