Lair - In Exile

Exiled from the only land we knew, our village has turned against us.
They curse us and call us Heathens, for we do not feel their Lord in our hearts.
So we take our exodus into the woods with no guide to lead us through.
All we have now are trees and stones with no home to go back to.
We cannot rest under the open sky for we cannot trust the sound of the wind.
Whispers and footsteps come closer, the shadows along the trees take form.

In the fearful night, she came to us with the moon shining in her hair.
She said "Fear not my child, you are safe with me. Take my hand, and you shall be free".

We are taken into her lair, where candles line the cavern walls.
Her children dance around the fire. They shall become our brothers and sisters.
Immortals we shall become in her sanctuary of the dark.
Under her powers, we shall be Gods until the end of time.
