Cimmerian Veil


Striving against the days
but they look all the same
Through the embrace of grays
All is vanquished and frail
in this barren vale

Everdying Sun
Green lands turning dun

And days came and went
but the light
to dark was bent
And how futile is to repent
when god is just absent

Hope is first to die
in the eternal night


Eerie shades
casted by skeletal trees
Branches barren of leaves

A mantle of impervious darkness
untouched by no glimpse of light
Where all withering hopes shall die
Mowed down by the timeless scythe

Winter enshrouds me
with its cold embrace
The Sun has drowned
by darkness effaced

An eternal stillness
to be broken only by whispers
of the wind and shores alone
Where the man is no more
