Laments Of Silence - Desperation Road

Nights are long in the freezing winter where I remain
Where there are no springs, no summers
Only autumns and winters, in this lonely and
Abandoned road where the train I want to get on never comes

Lons is the wait to see again the smile you once dropped
In my sad and cold heart. A warm smile that made my hopes
Come black to life.

But when I hear the wood cracking in the cold wind
And the branches of the old trees, surrounding me,
In the abandoned road I cannot leave, because of my fear….

The I feel like dying, and I heaven’t been free to live yet,
As I stare at the graveyard I wish I was there
Among the dead, waiting to die

While I’m listening to their rest I think I can’t feel a beat
Of my dead heart, I feel and I think, but I don’t exist.
And people don’t know whether I live or die.

I hear the train and I lean forward to see over the wall
And I run to get beyond the door of solitude
Of quiet, of desperation and suicide.

And then the train opens its doors. And there you are.
