All alone, a world twisting shockingly
Wandering, hidden from common eyes
Wading through the darkness
Suspicious and paranoid, they reached beyond
A voice emerged from the void

Beautiful, enchanting alluring voice
Speaking the words they wished to hear
A truth to rejoice, finally she opened the door

Welcome children, listen to me, I have the real truth
I have knowledge of the world
That they're keeping from you
Like a spider were her fingers, spindly and frail
Orb Weaver what they called her
As she wove her tales

Mystified they looked into her blue eyes
And saw only kinship there
She had so much wisdom to share
The secrets of how to survive
Unmasked, untethered, alive
If they hunted today, would she devour their prey
Or would her children be her slaves

Orb Weaver now we see you for what you are
Though small weak and abandoned
We've come this far
Like a spider luring victims into her lies
Orb Weaver spinning webs
For her monstrous disguise

The spider's eggs have hatched
Filling the world with her voice
Treachery filling empty spaces
Ignorance lead to rejoice
Teaching their children that knowledge is fraud
Only to grow and breed, planting a million tiny seeds

Crawling through every space
Giving light to the blind
Her children are watching
They're spreading her voice
To every single ear they can find

Draining the blood from the minds of the young Leaving them weak and frail
Diseased and pale, will the orb weaver prevail

Spider, where are you now
Your children are hungry
Is there no food for them
Corpses of your children are everywhere
Is there no blood to spare
Or was it all a nightmare

Like a predator who fed on blindness
And rose like a star
Children screaming for their mother
