Apathy - Act II: The Offering

So they wish to put a stop
Lock up, haul us off to rot
Fear not, for we are far from lost
As long as you give to the cause

We preach freedom to the world
Release from these prison cells
So what if they want to control
We will uphold our ritual

Lend me your alms
So I may fly
And spread our word
To altered heights

Take in your arms
This gift of mine
An offering
Of sacrifice

Why should you fight a fire
Whose flames cannot be quenched
When you could leave the thirst
To consume itself

I give them what they want
And what they want is death
Now is it such a sin
To let them choose this path

So they think they can push us over the edge
Take away our right to instate the end
Drag on though in spite of the discontent
Blame us for their sickening persistence

There is no chance of peaceful resolution
To end this blight there's only one solution

Look out at the crowd how the numbers grow
Lost track of the head count packed in droves
Still think that this movement can be quelled
When there's no sign of us slowing down

So come my children heed this final call
Don't falter for time is running out
The time to act is now
