Reaching for the mystery in me,
The one alive but unaware
Of what's controlling me
The force we cannot see, we cannot flee
In service to an illusion of control
That is just a disguise for the world

A fantasy,
I'm living in a false reality

Can't scream, cannot wake up
Pushed down and forced to crawl
Bound to fulfil your every command
Can't fight, cannot rise up
Just cannot make it stop
I am the marionette

A life enslaved, a soul in chains
A million tries to break the strings
That for so long have held me tight
The time has come for one more fight
Against the power that you wield
Over my every move

I cannot hide
You are the eyes tearing through my helpless mind
