Daniverse - Live Free or Die

As I wake up today
Freedom is on my mind
There's this will of running away
And leave it all behind

Running through the fields
Alive must be
Free creature wondering
What else is there to see

And for a moment nature smiles
Mixing water from the sky and my eyes
As emotion and beauty unfold
Washing down my soul

As I find out what I love to do
I need to do it over and over again
But how can I break from the chains
Of the laws of Gods and Men

And for a moment nature cries
As the sight of freedom gradually dies
Shifting from a joy to pain
The dream is all that remains

A dream turns into nightmare
I've lost it all and now I am scared
A new dream must be born
As fragile hearts are torn

In this process of self-discovery
There's some healing to be done
I'm searching for the truth about me
To re-write The Code

All night I heard in my soul
Voices from another world
They told me
You need to stop focusing on the darkness behind you
And I told them I do not know
What's the right thing to do
