Hideous Divinity - The Numinous One

“What I was once, I still am”
Praise, across the blind horizon
The unthinkable!
The absurd unknown comes to rise,
To open his hands, to die again

Paradox of life outside the restraining shell
The creature marks the bridges of time
There's no return no coming back for us

Dirges coming like waves
Mankind talking to mankind in mourning.
Noumena Inaccessible shine!
But shadows embrace it all
Shadows embrace you all

Here is the divine horror,
Numinous life of the dead,
The scent of putrid breath
Indifferent, eucharist elicits the power, the horror
Life is formed then deformed

The wonder will strike
So cold and numb we'll knee
In front of that which burns

Out of this world, out of myself
Tis'not for us, never again!

Light fades away, soon to be banished
Out of this world, I know:
I belong to you

Nothing is required but the courage to stare,
To be alone, to open the eyes

Here Beyond the constraints of fate
To be born and die again
To respawn by horrible stings on venomous ecstasy!

The nest will swarm
Its horrid form

Never thought the time would come

Then those eyes blazed, unextinct
In the dark for me!

Numinous life of the dead

Weep for the lies you told and for all those unspoken
