Loftland - Animosity

I keep a creature inside
It comes alive when I speak
So I keep the tip of my tongue against the back of my teeth
I'd like to say that I know I've got it under control
But it just keeps pushing, pulling, and pressuring me

And clawing at the walls of my insides there's animosity I've tried to hide that I'm afraid for you to see
The thought just haunts me in my sleep
And I can feel it taking over me, I close my eyes, embrace defeat, as it reminds me the truth at hand

You made the man and I made the monster

I live the life of a wolf and masquerade as a sheep
But sewed my heart to my sleeve, to make me easy to read
Now that you know you're my prey, I pray you just stay away
Now that you know that this is a warning
