In the middle of the night, while everyone was asleep
A woman wandered through the woods, where trees bow and weep
Her black dress covered her body; she felt a cold wind on her face
The cold ground beneath her feet—she kept running for days

Fear made her run; evil took part of her, and she killed a man
Soldiers are searching for her; they don't know her reason for killing

Her black dress was torn apart; it couldn't stand the ruptures
The trees were screaming; she could see her compassionate features

They folded their branches together
Hoping it would stop the soldiers
