feeling chilled to your bones
as the blackness comes prowling
behind bushes and stones

you can see their eyes glowing
dark and ominous red
they can smell your fears growing
a fierce and deadly threat

take the flame - light the night
stand the pain - face the fight

be aware of the evil
spreading lies and despair
in these times of upheaval
creeping out of their lair

tainting unwary spirits
with their unholy seeds
even brave men are struggling
lies seem stronger than deeds
