the mirror reflects a broken form
it tells the tale of loss and sorrow
in her mourning dress, she wanders
to the foothills of eternal rest

cries of lament harmonize with the wind
her aria of grief heard far away

the cooling rain drowns her tears as she
comes closer to your resting place
the stench of death fills the air
vultures circle overhead
the carrion flies buzz with an appetite for decay
the cemetery crowded with those the fever conquered

she falls to her knees, in tears, knowing she
will never cradle her love again
now haunted by the lullaby of the raven
