Warhorse - Shadowed

Awoken!
A reoccurring fever dream
Dark shadowed halls
And crowned corrupted form

Town of hidden secrecy
Hiding ocean born leprosy

How here is flesh
I hear mistrusting jeers
As their bulbous eyes stare
Validating my fear

Carried on the winds sigh
Maddening chanting, ancient rites
Will I stay alive,
Through this foul, primordial night?

No end to this dream
The horror all too real
The deep murky depths,
Will be my end I feel

Loathsome idols taint my mind
Hideous thoughts I cannot hide
A blight revealed on my soul
Longing for that deep dark cold

Night still waxes strong
Now I begin to see
Ramblings spoke true
Of things I can't believe

Am I hiding within me,
My ocean born leprosy?

Lungs to gills
Skin sloughs to scales
By lineage cursed
To the oceans tide
Cursed to eternity
Dreadful sunken...
