AM:PM - Rugged Road

“Welcome to this road” this is what they said to me
When I first got here about twenty years ago
My mind was full of dreams but
Over time I realized
That it was nothing else than utopia
All hope and all future
Have been gobbled up by the sand on which it was built

Lost in this world I heard about
A rugged road in a thick deep forest
A primal one that was hard to find
I’ll give my best, I have to find this

Road that leads to a plain
Where I can build my dreams on something strong
I don’t want to leave a foot print in the sand, but a front kick in the ass

Rugged Road
Severe cold
Narrow path
Bewildered
Endless trail
Exhausted
No turning back
No rest on this rugged road

Sickness and pain a lot of us failed
They think I’m insane but their minds are veiled

I won’t give up ‘til I reach the end
I won’t give up, I am brave enough

Please tell me why
This road is so long
So many dead corpses rotting around
I never thought I’d have to walk this far
I want to live all of my dreams here and now

Don’t await the perfect moment to live your dreams
Your life is short, don’t waste your time
And move around
I spent all of my life waiting for nothing
So go my friend don’t do the same, enjoy your life
