CAROUSEL


The cold sun shines in springtime, I'm in the autumn of my years,
My failing eyes gaze to far horizons, of an old man's memories,
And how the place has changed......,

Over there I used to climb trees, and over there I went to school,
But who listens to tales of an old man? Anachronistic fool !

But the tragedy of circumstance meant our lives were spent apart ,

I find myself spinning as I go back in time,
A carousel carries me leaving behind,
An old man who's waving, I see him,
The old man is me.

A mist is enveloping all I can see,
