Dark Martyr - Solstice Eve

Solstice Eve
Their tears fell to Earth
And baptized its parched soil
Tainted from endurance
of countless æons past

Bathed in the shades
of an autumn's bittersweet rebirth
This passing unto life redeemed

Incorporea
never forgotten -
only snared in winter's grasp

A tempest in red
Wishing, too, for other dimensions
Its jealous rains
Each drop a dagger's smile

Below, the faces veiled
by the season that surrounded
Brighter still my Solstice Eve -
tributes to an unborn star

They refused their earthly bodies
And vowed to purge the astral self
In the blood of the empty sky

Seasons past and still to come
The time had come again
They felt the touch of ages
like gossamer winds
far gone in years and
Further still a world away

Callisto…
the clock has stopped
Your children cry your name
we come again,
Your memory entwined with us always

Celestial spheres once revered
Never forgotten
Only snared in winter's grasp
in the frost of time
and from within…on this my Solstice Eve
