Road to Ransome - Blinding Lights

I took my life, my dreams, and threw them against the wall

I made peace with my demons, but together they watched me fall

I buried my soul away, and stole myself from those around me

Till I reached the breaking point, where my dreams seemed like reality



It was then I realised, when all that remained was skin and bone

That through the darkness that clouds me, I am never alone



With open arms and open eyes, I'll leave the dark for the last time

and find that I've been liberated

This unknown path I walk alone, back to the place I once called home

These blinding lights will lead the way there



I've seen the ghosts of a thousand past lives, who've walked this path before me

They were but hollow shells, and screamed out what awaits me

Should I follow this broken path that leads me to the grave

Far from any shelter, where none shall be saved
