Sacred Cenote - Brighter Than the Thousand Suns

I see it clearly though it has no shape
Its invisible rays constantly penetrate the temple
Not even I know its secret name
But its presence for me is more obvious
Than the sunlight that brightens the ways
Of sleepwalkers outside

Here within these deep dark caverns
I linked myself tight to this undefined force
All the human impulses were subdued
And it slowly turned my heart stone cold

It killed the whole humanity within me
And replaced it with fire of madness
Burning brighter than the sun
And our communion is growing stronger each sinister night
And the rivers of blood from the self-inflicted wounds
Are flowing silently in gratitude for this blessing

Here is where I will soon lay dead
May its cold ghastly hand then reach the ground
To reclaim that which was imprisoned

Within this imperfect vessel
And set me forever free
From the boundaries of earthly existence
And make me as one with the source
Thoughtless, timeless and unbound –
Which I believe it is

For I have spent most my life contemplating the power of death
That creates immoderate fear among the blind
Regardless how hard they try to escape the thought of it
Or warm their hearts with pipe dreams of afterlife
I who walk in the darkness
Accept and worship death as the sole reality
For the light in the tunnel is the Devil's light

In the vague line between life and eternity
The whisper of ultimate truth shall reach my ears
The wordless word that I am still not ready to hark
Not until the curtain that veils my sight is gone
