Alone
Enclosed by the grey walls of a deserted cellar
and an overwhelming sense of desperation
Is this really the last pillar of hope for deliverance?
You'd do well in abandoning all delusions,
for the salvation you seek is nowhere to be found

Corpses strewn across the ground,
filthy snow stained by blood
Thick, black smoke and ashes smother the sky
The sun now shines in memory only,
as impenetrable darkness engulfs all of existence

Alone
Bones break and skulls crack beneath me
A life-extinguishing cacophony of terror
Perpetual darkness is all that remains
That ever-present lightless existence
from whence you came, to which you shall return

Steel tearing flesh
Bullets penetrating skin
Bleeding lungs riddled with sulphide
Say whatever rosaries you will,
but there is neither divine nor secular protection to be had
