The fire warms our hearts tonight, the shortest night we see
The spirits come alive tonight, wherever they may be
The faith that ruled for centuries here sees no man or maid
They wear the hammer and the runes, forever unafraid

What long lay forgotten
But never could be undone
Tonight shall be seen full of beauty
Our springtime again has come

Under the cross this land has seen the centuries pass by
Churches built on sacred grounds, so many had to die
The ancient wisdom of our tribes declared an evil deed
Accept the cross or taste the steel, forever they would bleed

As we regain the powers
That our forefathers lost
Born from embers and ashes
Born from fire and frost

Spirits arise from the ashes of time
The fires of solstice will burn
A new age begins as the bells cease to chime
The hammer shall return

The guidance of the shining moon will keep us on our way
A new age dawns for man and beast, for tree and elf and fay
No need for priests in golden robes to preach the holy words
The wilderness speaks to our hearts, no prayer goes unheard

And in all the dark places
Light the torches of old
In the mountains and forests
Winds of silver and gold
