The tribble is a fuzzy beast
Its fur is very warm
It isn't deadly in the least
And it can't do any harm
But it will gobble up your food before you've time to holler 'Scat!'
It can clamber up your sleeve and litter in your hat
It can munch on things that would nauseate a rat
And a tribble is a pain in the ass.

A tribble is a pretty thing
It's dressed in silky furrrrrr
SOmetimes it will croon and sing
Often it will purrrrrrr
It will live with almost anyone, a beggar or a king
Just not a Kling

Its tastes are ecumenical, it dines on anything,
And it multiplies faster than rabbits in the spring,
And a tribble is a pain in the ass.

A tribble makes a lovely pet
It's full of love and fun
But what we haven't mastered yet
Is to keep 'em down to one
So if you meet a tribble, better leave it on the ground
Don't ever take it with you, no matter where you're bound
It becomes a dozen tribbles before you can turn around
