Woke up sprawled out on the street
With shattered glass to cover me
And bloody lips to ask where friends are

Becoming good at getting up
As well as brushing myself off
Who let these people in? Today

We'd leave our houses step for step
We'd talk a bit before we left

for a while.

I'd laugh the day away knowing we'd probably

Not how I planned for us to meet

uncommon tasting in our mouths.

We won't be on top all that much
