Solbrud - Bortgang

I feel a yearning, so deep inside me
It carries my body, to a distance unknown
The pulling force, so mighty and strong
But i wont try to resist
In silence i follow
The civilization is disappearing behind me
As i walk towards the horizon of forgetfulness
Where the burning sun is slowly fading
And separating heaven and water
In a flaming sea of light

Now i am surrounded
By the stillness and darkness
Not bothered with the solitude
Because i feel this is where i belong
My thoughts are with my ancestors
Who have walked this soil before me
When the world comes to an end
And it drowns in an ocean of fire
I will stand at the bow of the longship
Being caressed by the swell's tounge of fire
This my home - I know
It is the land where forests have eyes
Where the ground is burning, yet covered in snow
And eternal darkness rules the sky
