Traces - The Light

It’s hard to see the light when your eyes are covered over with a veil of all that’s wrong
And everything we are, is nothing more than memories like a forgotten song
All the words start fading
And the hymns all burn away
Will we be remembered
When there’s nothing left to say

Everyone has told me that it’s darkest before dawn
Well it’s hard to look forward when you cannot see at all

Sometimes I feel like I’m the cancer
To everyone and everything I’ve ever known

Than chemicals in our head
Making me wish I was dead
