Mother’s sons lie extinguished
In a field named victory
Rivers collect blood
On a downhill run to peaceful sea
Their shells left abandoned
And ghost’s left to roam
A stench of decay it cast’s
You walk alone

On the tree line two men appear
Your best friend and enemy too
Then call out to warn your own
But realize they can’t hear you
Your ruminations proceed to fill
And crush your head
You start to hear them speak
The language of the undead

Translucent terror
Old tales of horror
For a just cause do you fight
Unforgiving law and order
Offer our sons and daughters
An exponent without sight
A ruling fist and a slaying sword
Unite your fools and protect your shores
As your wrathful past has shown

From the crooked cross to the rising sun
The blue and gray and Vietnam
Wars’ wings ash have flown
With day break comes broken lives
Laid down with a guilded hand
Your chest cut open wide
By a stranger yet a hate filled man
Once again the rotting piles
Shake you to your senses
Now family’s loved ones hang from trees
And are caught in fences
A battlefield moon will test a man
There is no sleep the eyes just close
A hill is home and the war sun black
Kill as many as you can that you don’t know
Mother is now weeping at the name on the wall
Father’s heart gave out the day they received the call
